As I was sitting in my room communing with my spirit guides, I was alerted to a spirit who wanted to communicate. I prepared myself and equipped my divining rods, opening myself up for the interaction.
Communication started as it usually does, the spirit engaging a little bit and then slowly becoming more bold with their communication – as all such interactions tend to progress, whether with spirit or with people. The more comfortable we get, the more we can express ourselves. The divining rods started a little stiff and then the spirit got the hang of it and felt comfortable answering.
(If I haven’t said it before, I’ll say it again – not that it will change the minds of doubters or skeptics. Someone who has a comfortable relationship with their divining rods knows when it’s a spirit communicating or when it’s natural movement. Spirits often have their own signature for using them. For instance, when I am speaking with my guides, my primary guide is very dainty with her responses, while my secondary guide likes to cross the left one only or crosses it more than the right one. I can speak with both of them at the same time and know who is responding, just like we all have our own voice and sometimes those voices are familiar but have their own special inflections.)
A female spirit came forward and I could sense her, but I went through my communication routine as usual. I inquired as to having met her before, spoken to her before, and asked if she was local to the area. Then, slowly, my questions started to become more specific based on information she was sharing with me – some via my clairvoyance (images impressed on my mind to help me see things or using my own mental images to connect), clairsentience (sensing feelings that she shared to clarify her experience), and claircognizance (information made known to me as facts and details in my third eye). These are my three primary modes of connecting with spirits and the information can come all at once and/or in parts, utilizing my own experiences or knowledge to help me better understand what the spirit is saying. Very rarely is the experience like what Hollywood and cinema as a whole lead you to believe these experiences are like, but that’s because it isn’t all that exciting or dramatic a thing to watch. My husband falls asleep in the room if he’s there with me, because the interaction becomes a weird mix of me using my Clairs and asking questions and verbally responding yes/no. Patrick Swazye is not standing next to me telling me all the things in clear sentences. Do I have spirits who have made communicating practically like that? Yes. Do some of the spirits I communicate with come through very clearly? Absolutely. I am, though, still honing my skills to be stronger.
My interaction with the female spirit revealed some information for me that helped me to identify and factually confirm some of what she shared. Her name is Amanda and she passed away in her forties. Her passing was in the last seven years and was linked to cancer. At first I thought breast cancer, but as I sat with it, she indicated that it was her liver. Not only did I feel a slight pressure over my own liver, but I saw her hands gesture and rest there. Amanda had three children who were in their teens and young adulthood at the time of her passing. A “younger adult” meaning not in their thirties or the like. When I asked about a spouse, I received some hesitation, but it came off as more of a hand moving back and forth like a “sort of.” When I asked her about an obituary, she said I would find one and that hopefully some of this information would be clearer once I read it.
I did find an obituary that I think matches the Amanda I encountered. I was dubious at first, because the picture looked familiar, but not fully what I had seen in the image I was shown of her. Other things fit and they were confirmed by my guides through the appearance of ghost fuzzies on my arms and shoulders. As I researched her even more, I found a picture of her that must have been the version she showed me, because it was spot-on for my vision. The location of the image also provided more information that helped connect her story.
Out of respect for her family and due to the obituary website having a warning about “reproducing” their obituaries in other places, I believe it is best that her information remain private for this post. I have my own private file with all the information in case I need it in the future.
So what did Amanda want of me? I asked her questions about her current state and if she needed anything. She explained that she was just looking for someone who could hear her and that she could talk to. Amanda explained that she piggybacked on me from my local park where she saw me with my dog. She just wanted someone to talk to once in a while. I asked her if she needed me to share this with her family – that they should talk to her sometimes, but she declined the offer. I said I would talk aloud to her for a bit and when she was ready to leave, to let me know. This was meant over the course of several days, not just in that moment.
The question that seemed a struggle to receive an answer for was why she was at my local park in the first place. She shared an image of the historical society, which is on the side of the park by the road. I had asked if something of hers or something she treasured was donated there, but I wasn’t getting a clear answer, only a fuzzy hemming and hawing. Which could have been me or that Amanda couldn’t connect with something within me. Personal experiences truly help with connecting with spirits.
Amanda came into my home during a bit of a chaotic spell involving a cluster of other spirits. One was an antagonistic spirit and I asked Amanda about him. Through our discussion she confirmed that she has been staying away from him and that he isn’t a nice spirit – in that he doesn’t want to play nice with others. I felt like maybe this spirit was trying to take over a home and wanted to, in a way, “feed” off of my energy. I always felt drained when he would come near me. I thanked Amanda for her help in trying to understand the spirit that I would be sending away, I just didn’t want to accidentally also send away all the other spirits who were here to talk or fulfill something after their passing. It’s not fair to them when a spirit without wholesome intentions enters and overshadows or pushes out other spirits of innocent purpose.
I’ve casually spoken with Amanda every day since her request, but I also feel her slowly fading and I think she is moving onto her next adventure. I told her she is always welcome to come back to talk at any time.
