I was driving for many hours in my car the other day and it dawned on me that I should put something up to let people know about the project that I’m currently working on. Honestly, the whole thing is taking shape in real time, but I’ve also been planning it for several months. This is my opportunity to really treat my passion like something bigger than an occasional hobby. As with this blog, it combines my passion for writing with my passion for the paranormal, as well as my passion for adventure and education. Blame the Sagittarius-Monkey that I am, but something about being out there the way that I love to be is truly healing so much of who I want to be and, maybe even, healing my own inner child.
So let’s get down to the nitty gritty of what this is all about. It all started with a desire to travel again on a road trip east. I had done this in November of 2024 and it was life changing. This year I saw that Adam Berry was doing another event in Salem and, despite the bad personal things that happened last year in Salem, I figured now I could navigate things better with changes I was making to the trip. Then, of course, it can’t just be one stop, I’ve got to plan stops there and stops home. That’s where things got crazy and turned from a 7-day trip into a 17-day trip!
Over the next 17 days I will be stretching my paranormal wings and challenging myself to step further into the world than I’ve ever stepped before. My travels will take me to locations known to have stories to tell and hopefully I’ll have the chance to meet some of the storymakers myself. Beyond that, I hope to simply share some wonderful locations that might challenge you to learn something new about history, the paranormal, the world in general, or even just yourself.
Here are some of the places I’ll be visiting and will hopefully be able to publish about:
- Hill View Manor
- Flight 93 National Memorial
- The Gettysburg Academy with the Wraith Chasers/Haunted Nights Crew
- Haunted Objects Museum & Tour
- Jennie Wade House
- The Orphanage
- Farnsworth House
- Other Haunted Locations around Gettysburg
- Haunted Locations in Erie, PA
- Dunkirk Lighthouse
- The Richardson Hotel
- Olmstead Campus
- The Lyceum in Salem
- The Hawthorne Hotel
- Salem Witch Board Museum
- Danvers State Hospital Memorial & Cemetery
- Numerous Locations in Salem, MA
- Old Town Hall – Salem, MA
- Burial Hill – Plymouth, MA
- Kelley’s House – Martha’s Vineyard
- Crowne Point Inn & Spa – Provincetown, MA
- Locations in Provincetown, MA
- Newport, RI
- Valley Inn Restaurant – Portsmouth, MA
- Lizzie Borden House
Some of these locations are incredibly specific, while others are still in the making. I am currently in Gettysburg and my location visits have evolved drastically since arriving here, so maybe some things on this list will change, but it’s a start and a daunting start to say the least.
Since this is such a large list of places that will undoubtedly have much to say about them, I won’t be able to post everyday. Hopefully I’ll get a few posts done along the way, though most of the posts about these will come after I’ve arrived home. Sometimes it’s good to sit with the information before you share it out into the world. I am writing everyday, but it takes time to finesse things for publishing.
Finally, I should note that I have been to several locations already in the area. This is not my first time on this part of the map. Additionally, I have been asked several times if I am going to stop by The Conjuring House and that is a giant N-O! That place just vibes absolute drama right now and I’d rather wait to see what the future holds for that location. I also have already visited the Warren’s House (informally as a non-invasive, respectful drive-by) and I visited their resting place for a private moment I will hold close to my heart. Again, I hate that somehow locations you visit define who you are in the grand scheme of paranormal people, but there it is. I share these things to connect with others, not as a bucket list of braggadocious paranormal tourism. I want to open myself to the stories, because not all spirits are attracted to all people and maybe I am flashing the right lights for someone who needs a voice.
For now just remember: Everything comes to you at the right time. Be patient…
